Information we collect

What you send us

When you use our contact form or the short email form at the bottom of each page, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, business name, the kind of help you’re interested in, and your message. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include.

When you book a call

Discovery calls are scheduled through Google Calendar. To book, you give your name, email address, business name, and phone number, plus anything you add about your business. Google sends the confirmation, reminders, and video-call link.

When you buy a plan

Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card or bank details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We receive your name, email address, billing address, the plan you chose, and the status of your payments.

While we work together

As a client, you may share your logo, photos, text, business details, and access to accounts such as your domain, social media, or Google Business Profile so we can build, post, and manage on your behalf. We use that access only for the services you’ve asked for.

Collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting servers record basic technical details for each request — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time — to keep the site running and secure. Google Analytics also collects information about how the site is used (see Section 4).

How we use it

We use personal information to answer your questions, schedule and hold calls, set up and deliver the services you buy, bill you and send receipts, send service notices, keep the website secure, and understand which pages help visitors so we can improve them.

If you write to us or book a call, we may follow up by email about your enquiry. We don’t add you to a marketing newsletter without your agreement, and every marketing email we send will include a way to opt out.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own advertising.

We share it only with the service providers that help us run GrowGrowLocal, and only as much as each one needs:

Service providers

Hosting.com hosts this website. Google provides our email (Google Workspace), call scheduling and video calls (Google Calendar and Meet), and site analytics (Google Analytics). Stripe processes payments. For clients, we also use the platforms you ask us to work in, such as social networks, domain registrars, and Google Business Profile.

When the law requires it

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It starts only after you first scroll, tap, or press a key, and then sets cookies (named “_ga” and “_ga_…”) that recognise a returning browser. It records things like the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city or region). We use it to understand the site as a whole, not to identify you.

You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, block cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We don’t use advertising or retargeting cookies. WordPress sets its own cookies only for people who log in to manage the site. Browsers’ “Do Not Track” signal has no common standard, so the site does not change its behaviour in response to it; the choices above work instead.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and call bookings for as long as we need them to respond and follow up — generally no more than two years if you don’t become a client. Client records are kept for as long as you are a client and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting, or legal requirements call for. Analytics data is kept by Google Analytics for up to 14 months. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing email. Email hey@growgrowlocal.com and we’ll respond within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep information we are legally required to keep, such as billing records.

Depending on where you live — including California — you may have additional privacy rights under local law. We honour the requests above whatever state you live in, and we won’t treat you differently for making one.

Keeping it safe

The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS, payment details go straight to Stripe, and access to our accounts and client logins is limited to the people who need it. No method of storing or sending information online is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Children

Our website and services are for business owners and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll also point it out on the website, and email current clients before it takes effect.
